There are several different approaches that can be taken in developing an effective Web site, depending on your individual needs. From simple sites that give out necessary facts, like company description, product information, services, contact information and location to more complex sites in which the details expand to show inventories, and perhaps e-Commerce sites which accept on-line sales and credit cards.
There are also Content Management System (CMS) sites, which allow the client to maintain the site with no knowledge of HTML code or Web design. These sites also allow users to log on to the site and customize it for their individual use.
There are also sites that cater to on-line forums and message centers (BBS).
These are just a few different designs - of course, your Web site is unique, and will have unique requirements. We will be happy to analyze your needs and design a system around those requirements. We can accomodate any of the designs previously discussed; keep in mind that we are specializing in economical and efficient Web sites.
Simplicity Works ...
Bells & Whistles
We could use all of the fancy new-tech techniques on a Web site - 3-D graphics, Flash intros, movies, animated GIFs, music - but we don't. Instead, we concentrate on a clean look, ease of navigation, speed and efficiency. Without all of the "bells and whistles," you'll get:
- a fast-loading site
- a clean-looking, uncluttered site
- emphasis on the information or product your site is offering
- search engine "friendly"
- repeat business (customers tend not to return to a poorly designed site)
- economy, economy, economy - all that 'fancy stuff' costs extra time, and $$$.
Elegance
''Minimal' doesn't mean 'dull'! A clean site, with attractive graphics and a good logo will tend to have more impact on the customer than a over-crowded, confusing site. People browse your site to find out what you have to offer, not to watch a show. We keep it minimal and effective.
Speed
Believe it or not, people are still using dial-up connections on the Web. Even at the current 56 Kbit speed, a 'busy' page, with Flash, animation and large graphics can take almost a minute to load. And customers aren't going to wait around. Using a simple approach, we make sure that our Web pages load as fast as possible. Graphics are optimized for size, pages are kept compact, and the actual file sizes are small. As a result, even dial-up connections zip along, and broadband connections scream! You won't have customers leaving because your pages wouldn't load.
